Verbal instruction is a vital component as far as motor learning is concerned. Verbal instructions are task-oriented phrases, usually made up of more than two words, verbally directed to perfomersperformers before motor skill execution, to develop motor skill learning and athletic performance (Magill, 2011)2011.) It is so easy to overwhelm a person with instructions of what to do and how to perform a skill. It is expected that a beginner will have difficulty in paying attention to more than one or two instructions (Magill, 2011, p. 320)320.) On the other hand, Verbalverbal cues areof brief task-oriented phrases, usually made up of at mostno more than two words, verbally directed to performers during or before motor skill execution, towill direct their responsiveness towardstoward task related skill toskills. These will drive or motivatedmotivate them in order to enhance motor skill learning and athletic performance (Magill, 2011)2011.) Verbal cues are the most used and are often repeated regularly to ensure that children are not only paying attention, but, also comprehending the instructions of the task (e.g., saying " hands up "'hands up' to a child who is about to catch a ball)ball.)
