Good morning,

I was wondering if I could get some information regarding a possible career path decision
;. I mainly want to make sure I'm looking into the correct courses for becoming a certified water quality inspector.

I'm unsure exactly what route I should be looking at for the type of inspector I'd like to become. That's where I'm hoping you could guide me
, hopefully. I am wantingwant to test the water we use everyday- for drinking, cooking, bathing, gardening and more. I want to test it for chemicals/levels and make sure it is safe for use for humans, animals and nature alike. More of a behind the scenes type, if there is such a thing in the field.
That being said, as a person with only simple PH/TDS home testing tools/diy knowledge; what type of education and certifications do I need for a county or state level certification? Can I be professionally trained
, hands on, for a length of time and signed off on my knowledge to receive certification or do I need a degree? Is there a "fast track" to get into this career?

I'm sorry if I've come to the wrong place to ask
for this information but honestly, I'm not really sure who I should be asking as I'm not sure the outcome I have in mind is a one path track or if it is several combined.

I would have asked my local community college but I've had college career guidance steer me wrong in the amount of classes actually needed for a career path before, so I'd rather gather my information first hand on what's actually required
. thatThat way I'm not taking unnecessary classes.

Thank you for any information and guidance you might be able to offer me
, it. It is greatly appreciated!
If you're unable to help
, can you possibly direct me on whomto who I should be contacting?

Again
, thank you for your time and guidance,

Cambria
