Being a good mother refers to the art of loving and supporting a child with deep care from the heart without any expectanciesexpectations. There are mothers who have not physically given birth to the child but have proved to be the most caring and affectionate mothers. And there are also mothers who have left their children after giving birth to them. Motherhood refers to the role that she plays as a mother. A mother loves, protects, nurtures and supports her child. Motherhood is the strong bond between a child and a mother.

I have found that these images of a mother reflect upon the stories of two women, Ceil by Harold Brodkey in which the mother raises a child by herself without the help from anyone else, and The Mother by Natalia Ginzburg in which the mother has two children that haswho have her familyfamily's help as she searched for someone to help her. Both ended up dying in tragic ways. In one ending, the mother is actually glorified, while the other one tirestries to imagine a life in which the mother never existed. They equally lookslook like real world possibilities that could happen in everyday life. Together they certainly show us how the person who gave us life can be praised while the other oneor, alternatively, can be seen as a disgrace.
