Equipped with 3000 beds, Assiut university hospitals are by far the largest and the most advanced tertiary center in upper Egypt. By completing my residency, I had successfully gained a tremendous experience in the perioperative care of a wide variety of cases. With its designated maternal and pediatric centers, I became adaptive to deal with situations like obstetric emergencies, maternal hemorrhage, neonatal resuscitation and acquireacquired skills needed to anesthetize pediatric cases like diaphragmatic hernia, tracheoesophageal fistula, pyloric stenosis and others. As a renowned center for trauma care, the hospital is by far the busiest and most experienced facility in upper Egypt acceptingthat accepts an enormous variety of injuries, which allowed me to be accustomed to critical perioperative events.
