5.2 SUMMARY OF THE FINDINGS
First ofand foremost, it was revealed that, the length of time spent indoing these weekly church activities is quite long and is affecting the members of the church, not only their economiceconomically, but also with regards to other aspects of their lives.
MajorityThe majority of the church members in these churches were females, the males were not that muchmany, and itthis is because women are always in dire need to find solutions to their problems .
It was also revealed that most of these churches do sell in these churches. Example wassales. For instance, Power Cathedral who sells shea butter to be used to solve spiritual problemproblems, and also Anointed Palace Church, which they sell ‘’abeyifuo nku’’sells "abeyifuo nku".
It was also disclosed that the majority of the church members do comego there, not because ofto obtain salvation, but to find solutionsolutions to their problemproblems.
ItMoreover, it was again revealed that, all the preaching that pastors preacheddid was centered on prosperity and faith. Ie, i.e., how they can be able to get money if they give. None was about the salvation of Christ.
OtherAs previously mentioned, findings, was disclosed that the length of time spent in thedoing weekly church activities is affecting themmembers negatively in terms of their social and economic life.
Another findings was that becauseFurthermore, since some of these church members perceive that someone is bewitching them, they always want to go to these weekly church activities so that he/shethey can get some of these spiritual items to protect themthemselves from witchcraft or any wizard in their families.
It was also disclosed thatAdditionally, these church members come to these churchattend those churches because of testimonies they heard on the media. For example, I interviewed a woman who told me it isthat she only goes because she heard about the pastor fromon the radio that he’sthe pastor is very powerful, and can help upeople get rid of any spiritual problem that was why she camethey may have.
