One thing that I noticed about googleGoogle is that they are really good at showing their interns how muchimportant their work is important and that. That is shown with Grant being told by his peerpeers that his coding system will be seen by the entireall of googleGoogle and Matt Melone being told how important the online help center is. Lastly one outcome googleGoogle shows is motivation, google. Google is seen as working towards making the interns feel more motivated by having a bunch of activities, giving them freedom, and being transparent. allAll three lead to motivation.
2) A good way to compensate the interns at googleGoogle is by gain sharing. I feel like this is the most appropriate incentive because it only rewards improved performance, which results in an increase of motivation. Secondly the awards are made with the gains, so awards are self fundedself-funded. Thirdly this incentive will help align interns to the organizationorganizational goals, since all organizationsorganizations' goal is to reduce overall cost. Lastly it increases teamwork since this is a company widecompany-wide program.
