Motivation

What motivates me the most is my family. I come from a very large family. Also, I am a father of two beautiful kids. Staying motivated can be difficult at times, but it’s those timetimes that motivates me the most. I know that when starting this new journey of highhigher education that, motivation will be tothe key. My family motivates me at times when I can’t find the motivation to motivate myself. My kids keep me on my A game. My son asked me, ”Dad is your school on strike too”too?” I laughed and said, “No, my boy.” This happened one morning while we were up getting ready to head out for work and school. Every morning I get dressdressed, get him dressdressed, and then we startedstart our day. I definitely have my days we’rewhen things are rough, I just want to stay in bed, but, knowing that I have to do this, I have to get up. I am my own motivation, and that motivates me more. It’s not as easy as people think it is for black men today, me. Me getting by staying out of all the trouble that is designed to defeat me is what motivates me. I was once doubtdoubted, counted out, and was a sadisticstatistic. I didn’t give up on myself. I knew I had a family who needs me. theyThey are my motivators along, with myself.
