Dear diary, today
Today I had to whip one of my slaves today toto show the others to be obedient, as the bibleBible says in Colossians 3:22: “Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything not only to please them while they are watching but with sincerity of heart and fear of the lord”lord.” My slaves are usually well behavedwell-behaved because I give them regularlyregular whippings and discipline them often as the Bible tells me soto do. I always whip my slaves for the smallest things, so that bigger mistakes won't happen. I think that if a slave is getting high-minded and yells at his master, he shall be guilty of impudence, and for itthis, a slave must always be whipped in my eyes because thinking you’re above your master is not God's will,; it is a sin. A slave raised his voice atto me today and I followed god’sGod’s will and punished him like a true man inof Christ is supposed to. When I went to church last week, I was just thinking how good God has been to me and how my slaves have more behaved this past week because I prayed about it and whipped them just like God says to in the bibleBible. AnywaysAnyway, I heard that Mr. Gore, the overseer, shot one of his slaves for being disobedient and I think he went too far with that because I know I whip my slaves a lot, but I would never shotshoot one. Father, God we thank you for everything we have and will continue to praise you, for you are so good to us and continue to keep loving us day in and day out and may we say at all times: “Through how much need has not our merciful God spread out his wings to protect us!"
