The Candida isolated in the period (2001-April2018) at HUSM, Malaysia, were predominated bypredominately non-albicans Candida species. C. parapsilosis, which was the most common species isolated from blood samples. However, a shift towards isolation of non-albicans Candida was observed. Further studies are needed to determine the change in the pattern of antifungal susceptibility in our hospital, as it is very important to guide the clinicians onin the empirical treatment of candidiasis.
