First of all, progressive metal music is far from primitiveness. Just like the classical one. All these features like counterpoint, change of musical theme and rhythms, general music saturation, etc. – all this is typical for both genres. So listening to this kind of music can never be boring.

SecondSecondly, increased attentiveness to quality and preciseness of performance is normal for these two musical styles, too. You’ll never hear the missing of tempo or mistakes in notes even in live performances of classical orchestra and Tool also. Needless to mention that their studio records are perfect.

Finally, theand most important.importantly, Tool’s music and words are so much passionate, intimate, sincere and shrill that it constantly turns the soul and ridrids it from the pain and depression!

One more thing for thein conclusion. As: as I am an artist and a designer, I find lots of inspiring emotions and words for my work in Tool's music. From time to time, there are different images that appear in my mind while listening to their songs. I watch these shapes over, think about them and then they become pictures in my paintings and prints.
