In every story, there isare side characters and the main character or characters. Usually, the story is infrom the author'smain character's point of view as the author, since they're the most important. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if thea story was told infrom someone else’s point of view other than the author or main character? Imagine if ”The Scarlet Ibis” was told in Doodlesfrom Doodle's point of view instead of the older brothers. Doodlesbrother's? Doodle's point of view would have many alterations to the story, from his own lessonlessons, to all of his own thoughts. In the story, it wouldn’t start asfrom the older brothersbrother's point of view, but would start after he learned how to crawl and talk. The story would take place inat a later time and end earlier. One thing that is noticed throughout the story is how clingy Doodle is totoward his brother, from the start of when he had started following his brother everywhere. Doodle’s point of view would be surely be interesting, since his older brother had said, in his view that, “He talked so much that we all quit listening to what he said... He was a burden in many ways” (Hurst 170). Doodle was able to talktalked so much that it irritated the family. Learning this information could lead to Doodle talking about all of the small things, from his appreciation offor his brother, to how scared he is sometimes. Or, or even his difficulties while learning to crawl, and walk, and trying to be like everyone else. A perspective that would be DoodlesDoodle's main focus is how much his brother helped him with everything. But, but never knew what his brothers’ intentions are.
