In this Classroom classroom, children are considered to be in the preoperational stage of development, according to Piaget's theories. In this stage, Piaget thought children needed to engage in experiences in order to learn. Therefore , we can notice that Mindy has lacked of this experience due to her insufficient social interaction. Never before has she been in a room with so many children her own age. . According to Vygotsky's theories, Socialsocial interactions play a fundamental role in thea child’s cognitive development . In this preoperational stage , the experiences are also the central point on which the child is able to observe ،, repeat, and learn at their own pace, alongside the teacher’s instruction. Instruction at this level continues to be based on Piaget’s second stage of development, but begins to include Vygotsky’s scaffolding method along with his main topic , zone of proximal development , which helphelps the teacher to understand what skills a kid has already acquired in order to reinforce or accommodate them . These methods would help the teacher make the kids tostudents feel theythat they belong to their new classroom. During this stage, the child also use theuses speech as a tool to learn how to effectively interactinginteract with others , then. Then, he/she starts adapting what he/she has learnlearned to influence his/her own thinking and behavior. We can conclude that Mindy and Tanya are both in the preoperational stage. One of the notable caracteristiquecharacteristics of this stage is that kids possess an egocentric speech, which meanmeans that the child speakspeaks out loud and directdirectly him/ herself in order to guide his/her action speciallyactions, especially during ludic activities . As for Vygotsky’sFor Vygotsky, this act is called private speech.
