The use of coupled wall systems with steel coupling beams (SCB), is increasing in high-rise buildings for high seismic prone areas. But the performance of the anchors, practically utilized on beam flanges in connection area, is not well known. Therefore, in this research, the effect of stud anchorages, along with the details of the reinforcement around the connection zone, are the main parameters of the experiment. Since the test has been performed on a half assembly of coupled walls, in order to generalize the results of the experiment, the effect of boundary conditions is evaluated through the numerical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the stud anchorages subjected to shearsheer forces, rather than tension forces. In addition, the results of numerical analysis showed that these anchorages have been effective in transferring the bending moment, from beam to the wall.
