A big object in Amber’s life was a school bus. The school bus was not something she rode to school every day, but morewhere of what she lived in. She used to name the bus asbus “Hello Yellow”. The reason why she was living in a school bus was because “A-hole Oliver (mother's boyfriend), [threwthrew Amber and her mom]mom out of his apartment”(p.8), so they later became very poor. The bus seemed like a big part of Amber’s life, because without the bus, she and her mother might've had to live somewhere waymuch worse.
