We aim at dwelxploring onthe Berber affirmation in Algeria, from 1962 &and 1980, within the framework of the country’s general history afterollowing independence. We offer towill do so by sketching out the sociological portraits of Berber Spring protagonists, through face-to-face interviews, among other types of research matepprioalches.

-enslaviemengt, massive schooling, and broad dissemination of the Arabic language), which integrated the region into its national environment sociologically, economically and culturally, but also created new hubs of contestation (in small towns, and educational institutions).
