- The Prophet, peace be upon him, fulfilled the covenant which was between him and the Quraysh tribe in Hudaybiyah until Quraysh broke that covenant. In addition, in pre-Islamic days, Al-Mugheerah IbnShu’bah accompanied some people, then murdered them and took their property. He then came (to the Prophet) and embraced Islam. The Prophet said: “As for Islam we accept it, but as to the property, as it has been taken by treachery, we have no need of it.”
