Where and when were you born Abe Lincoln? February 12,1809, iIn? Hardin, now in the more recently formed county of Larue, Kentucky.
How about family? Dad, Thomas, grandfather on father’s side, Abraham, and
mom, Nancy.
Did you move at any time? Yes, I moved to Indiana when I was 8 years old, and then to Illinois.
I heard you wrighte poetry; can you give me an example of it? Yes I can,“Abraham Lincoln is my name; And With my pen I wrote the same; I wrote in both hast and speed; And left it here for fools to read; Abraham Lincoln his hand and pen; He will be good but god knows when”.
Were you in any wars? Yes I was, I was in the Black Hawk War.
What was your rank and were you a volunteer group? I was the captain of volunteers.
Did you ever fight? No but after I got land where we were posted for serving.
Any jobs? Yes, Postmaster, legislature, and lawyer.
