Dear Senator Frank D. Roosevelt, I need your time. As a veteran who fought during World War 1I, I feel that you should help us to get a bonus from the government. Many people are suffering because of the Depression, but I am to arg. Bue that no one is suffering as much as us, the veterans. How could you not look out for the people who protect you? If it were not for us veterans fighting, many of you would be dead. It's only right and fitting that we who fought for you get helped, and if not for us, then for those who have died in their attempts to protect this country. Now you may wonder, why am I asking "you", specifically, for help? I am asking you because I believe in you,. aAs you should believe in me. Now I'll delve into why you should help me specifically. AI became shell shocked as a result of what I've witnessed in the war, I became shell shocked. Every time I heard a loud sound I becaome as jittery as a dog during a thunderstorm. This reaction of mine wa is a tortureous to my family and meI. Now if you pay attention, you'll notice I was speaking about my shell shock in the past tense. That is because I went to the hospital to get Deep sleep therapy. The procedure didn't remedy my shell shock, I ulosedt my money for no good reason, and the depression doesn't help my cause. In short, I need money more than anyone right now because I protected this country, suffered fromr it, and have come back home only to suffer more. I believe you are the senator to help me, and before you make your decision against me, remember I fought to protect you and the many people of this country.

God bless America,

Rob Innocent

P.S. - I wrote this letter from an abandoned home.
