Adolescence is a stage of developmental risk for eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia. Eating disorders eventually result withn adverse medical injuries, psychological problems, and low quality of life, in which should be diagnosed and treated rapidly (Sim eat al., 2010). The environment an adolescent is placed in can influence the how the adolescencet responds to a treatment within an inpatient medical facility. The objective of the current research is to examine the best environment to aid adolescents with eating disorders. There will be two types of settings used on an inpatient medical unit: lenient and strict environment. The target population is 120 Aadolescents, between the ages of 12-18. The measurements are based on questionnaires and nursing observations during their hospitalization. The purpose of this research is also to for the adolescent's adherence to the plan of care, including cooperation, decreased defiance, and decreased manipulation. If we provide adolescents with eating disorders a lenient environment during an inpatient medical unit admission, they will show patient compliance and increased weight changes.
