The current primary health care system supports the implementation of the cervical cancer screening using the VIA method at the cCommune hHealth cCenter. The Ministry of Health plans to integrate cervical cancer screening into the RMNCH package covered by the universal health care insurance. This plan is potentially feasible as health insurance coverage has been rapidly increased in the country since 2010 when Vietnam achieved its status as a lower middle-income country.
