Both Folkways and Mores are informal rules and norms. Hhowever, they are different to one another. Folkways are not offensive to violate and are expected to follow in the society. On the other hand, Mores results in severe punishment if violated, but there are social sanction to the people like religious and social.
In addition, Mores differentiate between right and wrong; whereas, folkways sketch a line between right and offensive or polite. Folkways seem like a quite flexible, but Mores dictates moral and ethical behavior and that ends with a serious results.
