Hello class, my name is Sequoya Gibbs. I am a Criminal Justice major with a future goalsgoal of becoming an attorney forin the area of the sexual exploitation of children. “Sexual exploitation is an act or acts committed through non-consensual abuse or exploitation of another person’s sexuality for the purpose of sexual gratification, financial gain, personal benefit or advantage, or any other non-legitimate purpose.” Sexual exploitation in simpler terms is sexual trafficking. I choosechose to become an attorney for thatin this topic because I want to be thea voice for those who doesn’tdon’t have one. I was also born and raised in a city (Atlanta, Ga), werewhere we have the biggest rate of sexual exploitation in the U.S. I have a 3-year-old daughter who is my motivation and determination. I am excited to learn what this class has to offer, and I look forward to a successful semester.
