Queen Hatshepsut demonstrated great leadership during her reign. She was confident, utilized her strengths, and also motivated others that came after her to greatness. These qualities drove her to success and were shown through many of her accomplishments. Simply by exceeding people’s expectations of women in power and going to the lengths of dressing as a male in order to be accepted as a ruler. By doing so, she proved her dedication to the throne, confidence, and motivational effect on others. As leader, Hatshepsut was able to build the wealth of the 18th dynasty, develop trade connections, expand Egypt’s borders, commission hundreds of construction projects, and restore many old temples. She did this all while avoiding war when she could. When comparing Hatshepsut’s leadership style to others', it is apparent that Hatshepsut focused on trade rather than military conquestsconquest. Consequentially, Egypt was giventhen had the time to renew isits strength, gain internal order, and create new markets for Egyptian goods, while also receiving luxurious and creating and exotic goods from foreign countries.
